Turmeric is nothing if not an auspicious herb, creeping its way into so many aspects of Indian culture, from where it originates. In the traditional marriage ceremony of Tamil Nadu, dried turmeric tubers are tied with string and laced around the neck of the bride and groom, making a “Thali necklace”, the equivalent of marriage rings.
Turmeric is a herb that constantly exceeds expectation, whilst its association as a curry spice has defined its purpose from east to west for so long, behind this earthy spice are properties that defy scientific expectation still to this day.
The root has been held in high esteem on the Indian sub continent for over 6000 years for its value as a pigment, a useful poultice and the base to many fine dishes amongst a multitude of uses.
In modern café culture, The Turmeric Latte has bought the power of turmeric to people in a whole new way, particularly those who steer clear of caffeine based drinks. However, despite their popularity, turmeric lattes’ are tricky to make, even for the most experienced Barista maestro! The relatively coarse powder leaving a granular residue on the tongue which can sit at both the top and bottom of the beverage but rarely runs smoothly through it.
Aquasol Turmeric on the other hand is a very fine grade and instantly dispersed in any liquid, in milk, soya milk or other plant based milk it’ll disappear in the colloidal liquid to make a smooth and delightful caffeine free treat.
Superfine powder for full instant dispersion and a fuller flavour.
Ingredients: Organically grown Turmeric
Directions: Add a quarter to a half teaspoon to taste, to hot milk, water or any liquid beverage of your choice and stir. Once opened consume within 1 month
