GREEN TEA

Camelia sinensis

The first recorded instance of people drinking tea was during the reign of the Emperor Shennong in the year 2737 BC. It’s recorded in The Classics of Tea that 2 leaves fell from a burning bush and landed in the cup of hot water the great Emperor was drinking from. Naturally he was impressed by the coincidental infusion and the rest is history. It’s entirely possible that people were drinking tea for a long time before this royal epiphany but never managed to write about it.

From 2000 BC onward tea became widely cultivated from its native region of South East Asia all throughout China and today takes many forms. The 3 primary forms of tea are black tea, which is fully fermented and roasted, oolong, which is half fermented and half green and green tea which is just dried and usually steam treated.

Aquasol’s organic green tea goes through a unique grinding and gentle heat treating process which produces the unique dispersible powder and defines all Aquasol herbs.
